The Big Idea
Forty high-interest, non-fiction passages provide experience reading and comprehending informational text – a key skill in the new Common Core State Standards. Texts are cross-curricular and include passages from science, social studies, and math. Each card features a passage on the front and four multiple-choice questions on the back, along with an additional writing activity. For use with the Hot Dots pen (sold separately).

Let’s Play 
1. Read the passage…
2. Turn the card over, review the possible answers, and press the Hot Dots pen to the dot next to the correct answer…
3. Listen as the Hot Dots pen responds with lights and audio, telling you if you are right or wrong.
