H. Elizabeth (Holly) Collins-Varni is a native of Minnesota who now lives in San Diego, California. Holding a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and an M.A. in Human Development, her passions include writing, children and angels. The inspiration for The Doll Lady came from Holly's Great Aunt Dorothy, who taught her to love and care for her dolls as if they were real children - a message that is the central theme for this extraordinary book.
