About the Author

Sherena Loh is Executive Director of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (Singapore) (MDAS). Sherena was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy as a teenager. But her heart proved to be stronger than her muscles and she has been volunteering with the Handicaps Welfare Association and the Disabled People's Association for two decades.

She was one of the founding members of MDAS before becoming its Executive Director. Sherena holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Counselling and Community Work) from Edith Cowan University, Australia as well as a Diploma in Family Life Education and a Diploma in Business Administration.
