Dr Mak Koon Hou is a Cardiologist with clinical interest in interventional cardiology and is in private practice at the Gleneagles Medical Centre. After his training in advanced cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Dr Mak was appointed the Director of the Coronary Care Unit at the Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He also established the Clincal Trials Unit at the National Heart Centre. Currently, Dr Mak is an adjunct Associate Professor of the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Visiting Associate Professor of the Nanyang Technological University. He is a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, American College of Physicians, Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and American College of Cardiology. He was the first Singaporean to be conferred fellowship of the European Society of Cardiology.

Louisa Zhang is a veteran Nutrition Consultant actively involved in community health education. Her projects include health improvement programmes at government ministries, schools, private clubs, hotels, multinational companies, polytechnics and hospitals. She also provides consultancy services for multinational food companies and speaks frequently at public forums. She is a frequent contributor to TV, radio, newspapers and magazines. Louisa is a Member of the Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association and is the Secretary to the Osteoporosis Society (Singapore). She actively promotes awareness about the disease and runs welfare programmes for patients. She has also co-written books on health and nutrition.
